Please share your opinion

I’m allergy to the wheat product, I’m currently taking the shake for the healthy nurtrition and weight loss. and I just relize that the shake ingredient has a littiel wheat in there. I needed to know how bad it will hurt me?
Right now I just notice that my stomach hurt, is it make any sense?

Thank you in advance

NO! Don’t do it anymore, that is why your stomach is hurting. Use ground Flax flour, one tablespoon, in one 4ouz glass of natural cranberry juice, with 1/2 four ounce purified water and one tablespoon UDO’s oil (look up Udo’s in your google to get it online) and drink that twice a day and you will lose weight.

It will not harm your baby, but enrich your breast milk if you are breast feeding. Saw your picture.

Where is the best place to live for mold & grass pollen allergy sufferers?

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin in mold allergy | 3 Comments »

My family has been exposed to toxic mold. I have two sons, 8 & 3, plus a baby girl on the way. We are all extremley sensitive to mold now and need to be in a low humidity, low mold climate.

Arizona and Nevada are probably the first places people think of. But both states are actually on the top ten list of states with highest toxic mold rates.

The top ten moldiest states:

1. Texas
2. Florida
3. Oklahoma
4. South Carolina
5. Nevada
6. Arizona
7. California
8. South Dakota
9. Tennessee
10.Kansas

My three year old also has an allergy to grass pollen, but that only last for about 6 weeks of the year and we can make that time tolerable. We can not tolerate the mold though!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
I wish the ranking went to the 50th! That would make it easy.

I would choose the state ranked 50th.

Edit: The bottom five are Wisconsin, West Virginia, Alabama (huh?), Massachusetts, and Minnesota.

But I have my suspicions about these rankings because it was done based upon insurance claims. Hmm.

Blood tests show I have food allergies but I don’t have symptoms can I still eat the food?

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin in food allergy symptoms | 4 Comments »

I tried soy milk for the first time a month or so ago and I couldn’t breathe well after I had it. When I went to the doctor she did an allergy test on my blood and as expected it said I was allergic to soy. But as well as soy it showed I am allergic to wheat, peanuts, walnuts, and corn. I eat wheat, peanuts, and corn products all the time with no problems. Is it okay if I continue to eat these foods? I have an epipen if anything does happen.

Firstly before you take ANY advice offered here you need to discuss your personal results and symptoms with your treating Dr. They are the only one to be able to effectively offer advice to you.

The whole point of having an epipen is to avoid using it at ALL costs and by that I mean take whatever means it takes to avoid an allergic reaction-this means avoiding the things you are allergic to and being really really careful
Having said that….spt/rast will often show false positive results-real life reactions are usually what you are advised to go by-but this needs to be discussed with your Dr.
You know you have real life reactions to soy…but you definitely need to clarify the other ones.
good luck

How does desensitization therapy and allergy shots work for people with allergies?

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin in allergy help | 1 Comment »

I have allergies all year round! Now allergy shots…the goal is to give gradual exposure so that the body can "get use to it" and become desensitized. It’s supposed to make the body react less to the allergens. But why haven’t the body "gotten use" to the allergens after years of exposure and symptoms already? Claritin and Zyrtec isn’t working…even with a combo usage of Sudafed. Help!?

For some reason, the pollens you are being exposed to are too strong for you to get used to them. The shots are much weaker; and then they gradually increase the dosage. I had allergy shots for nine years and it really helped. It may take a couple of years for you to see an improvement from the shots.

Feeding Golden Retriever – Varied & Interesting Diet For These Food Lovers!

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin in wheat allergy | No Comments »

You can feed your Golden Retriever high-quality commercial food, but the best way to provide a nutritious healthy diet is to combine both commercial food for dogs with fresh food for people. Whether dry or canned, most commercial dog food lacks the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that come with fresh food. Vets agree that fresh food is good for your dog, providing practice use moderation. Golden Retrievers love fresh food. They can smell it a mile away, and if it smells good, they’ll eat it!

Commercial dog foods are good sources of protein and vitamins, but fresh food contains more essential nutrients and a more varied diet. For example, fresh chicken and beef provide more protein and minerals than any commercial dog food on the market today. Fish also contains plentiful protein and helps your Golden Retriever maintain a healthy brain.

As long as your give a dog the proper nutrients and minerals, they can stay healthy. But Golden Retrievers love variety, and the are delighted when the receive the same food as they see people eating. To keep your Golden interested in his food, offer them a different food each day. Recommended people foods for dogs include chicken and chicken livers, kale, red beets, chickpeas, and peas. Avoid corn, wheat, and soy, as more dogs tend to be allergic to them. People also feed their dogs some fruits, vegetables, and grains without ill effect. These include apples and bananas, carrots and cauliflower, peaches, rice cakes, and tuna.

Play it safe. Don’t make big changes in your Golden Retriever’s diet at once. Add a little of a fresh food one day, and wait a day or two before doing it again. Dogs have reacted badly to sweeping diet changes, so you’ll want to be cautious. There are also human foods that are poisonous to dogs, including chocolate, onions, garlic, and macadamia nuts. Don’t give your dog fruit pits or potato peelings, foods with caffeine, broccoli, or raisins or grapes. Before you make changes in your Golden Retriever’s diet, check out the internet for those foods that are safe and those that are not safe.

Be sure that your Golden Retriever gets plenty of animal protein in his diet. Dogs are not carnivorous animals. Unlike cats, who must have meat to survive, dogs can survive on a diverse diet of plant and animal products. They are omnivores and eat all types of foods. In the wild, they eat grasses, leaves, and other plants. Having said this, dogs do in fact thrive on animal-based diets. Although an all-meat diet is dangerous, dogs do need meat.

To be safe, you should give your Golden a combination of dog and people food to assure he gets all the nutrients he needs. Make sure his diet is about half animal protein, and spice things up by giving him different human foods each day. Be careful not to over-feed your Golden Retriever as you experiment with new diet combinations. You might want to weigh him once a week to be sure you catch any weight-gain trends as they happen. Also, observe your Golden Retriever’s reactions to human food in case he should have an allergy you didn’t expect.

If ever in doubt, do not hesitate in giving your vet a call. Your vet knows your dog and its medical history. They’ll be able to recommend the best diet, including both commercial food for dogs and human foods, to maintain proper health and an appropriate weight.

Is Silk Bedding Really Worth the Extra Money?

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin in mold allergy | No Comments »

When you’ve used serviceable cotton sheets all your life, it is a little difficult to switch over to silk. After all, silk sheets are expensive. They cost many times more than the cotton sheets you purchase from a discount store nearby. But the question is: are they just fancy or do they really justify the cost?

First off, cotton sheets may be inexpensive. But they also have a very short life. After you wash them a couple of times, even the best cotton bedding begins to lose color. Faded bedding can be a real eyesore. On the other hand, silk bedding outlasts several cotton sheets when taken care of properly.

The individual threads of cultivated silk almost match the durability of steel. Also, because silk fibers tend to stick, silk filaments have a strong bonding and do not break very easily. Also, silk has a naturally occurring substance called sericin, which makes it mildew resistant. So, even if you spend more money on silk sheets, you will get a much longer life out of them.

Cotton sheets may look like they are more serviceable. But they get quite uncomfortable when the weather is hot. Also, they cool off when it is cold. Silk bedding does the opposite. Silk is cool to the touch in summers. In the winters, silk fits warmly around your body thus preserving your body heat and keeping you warm. So, silk can keep you comfortable in all seasons.

Silk bedding is what the doctors recommend. Silk has several properties that make it the recommended choice for many doctors.

Ø Silk is hypoallergenic. Since silk is made by silkworms, the material has a number of naturally occurring substances in it. Even when the cocoon is converted into silk, these substances are not completely lost. So, fungus, molds and dust mites do not attack silk bedding. That is why doctors advise people suffering from asthma or allergic reactions to use silk bedding.

Ø Silk is good for the skin and hair. One reason for this could be because you cannot use harsh chemicals on silk bedding. So, the traces of these chemicals are not available on the bedding to do much damage to your skin and hair. Another reason could be the naturally occurring substances in silk that keeps away mold, dust mites and other allergy causing substances. Whatever the reasons, the benefits of using silk bedding are real and many people have felt the huge difference on their skin and hair. According to some experts, silk even has the ability to delay the formation of wrinkles.

Ø Silk is naturally fire retardant. So, it is a safer choice for bedding than cotton. Because it is gentle on the skin and hair and is totally safe, it is the recommended bedding for small children.

As you can see, silk bedding is a wonderful thing to own. And not just for its classy looks and seductive feel. However, to get good quality silk bedding, it is important that you buy silk from a reputed dealer.

Silk bedding does not really have to be a luxury reserved for the wealthy. Ordinary people can buy it too. A little research is all you need to land an excellent bargain.
